TriLink BioTechnologies® Further Strengthens Global IP Position with Newly Issued Patent in China for CleanCap® Capping Technology

SAN DIEGO, July 20, 2026 -- TriLink BioTechnologies, a Maravai LifeSciences company and a global supplier of life science reagents and services, has secured a new patent in China. The patent, issued by the China National Intellectual Property Administration, covers methods for synthesizing RNA molecules. This latest grant strengthens the company's intellectual property portfolio in a key global market.

The new patent specifically protects TriLink's full range of CleanCap capping analogs, including the recently developed M6 analog. These tools are used in the production of messenger RNA, which is essential for research and therapeutic applications. Capping technology helps ensure that RNA molecules function correctly and remain stable, making it a vital component in vaccine development and gene therapy.

TriLink continues to build on its existing patent holdings around the world. The company holds related intellectual property in the United States, Europe, Japan, and other regions. By securing protection in China, TriLink aims to support its customers who are developing RNA-based products for the Chinese market. The company says the patent reinforces its commitment to innovation and to providing reliable, high-quality reagents for the life sciences industry.
