Good morning everyone, and I want to thank the Hudson Institute for bringing together such a distinguished group of thinkers and leaders. Hudson has long been a home for serious ideas and courage. Today, I want to emphasize the importance of our collective efforts in the face of ongoing repression by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
The CCP's actions serve as a painful reminder of why our work together matters. Faith, freedom, and technology are not just concepts; they are fundamental rights that must be defended. The repression faced by individuals and communities under the CCP’s regime highlights the urgent need for international solidarity and action.
We must stand firm against authoritarianism and advocate for those whose voices are silenced. By leveraging technology and fostering open dialogue, we can empower individuals to reclaim their rights and freedoms. It is imperative that we unite in our commitment to uphold democratic values and support those who resist oppression. Together, we can make a difference in the fight for freedom.
