PRINCETON, N.J. and CHENNAI, India -- INVIDI Technologies has announced a new collaboration with Google that aims to unlock addressable advertising for tens of millions of older, unconnected set-top boxes around the world. These devices, which have long been a blind spot for digital advertisers, will now be accessible through Google Ad Manager.

The partnership allows brands to run Programmatic Guaranteed ad campaigns targeting specific households that were previously impossible to reach with digital precision. Instead of relying on internet connectivity in the box itself, the solution uses data and infrastructure from the provider side to deliver relevant ads to traditional cable and satellite homes.

For years, unconnected set-top boxes represented a massive gap in the advertising ecosystem. While connected TVs and streaming devices offered rich targeting options, the vast installed base of legacy boxes remained locked in a broadcast-only model. INVIDI's technology bridges that gap by overlaying addressable capabilities onto existing linear feeds without requiring new hardware or software updates in the home.

The integration with Google Ad Manager means that advertisers can now plan and execute campaigns across both digital and traditional TV inventory from a single platform. This move is expected to significantly expand the pool of available addressable inventory, particularly in markets where older set-top boxes still dominate the viewing landscape. Financial terms of the collaboration were not disclosed.
