inMusic has confirmed it will acquire Native Instruments, the Berlin-based company known for its music production, DJ, and audio mastering software. The deal, signed as a definitive agreement, adds a major creator-focused platform to inMusic's growing lineup of brands. Financial details were not shared.
Native Instruments is widely recognized for products like the Maschine hardware and software ecosystem, the Traktor DJ platform, and the online sample marketplace Sounds.com. The company has been a key player in electronic music production and live performance for over two decades. inMusic, which already owns brands such as Akai Professional, Alesis, and Denon DJ, will now control a broader set of tools for musicians and producers.
The acquisition is expected to combine Native Instruments' software expertise with inMusic's hardware manufacturing and distribution network. Both companies have overlapping audiences in the DJ and production space, and the move could lead to tighter integration between their product lines. No changes to Native Instruments' Berlin operations or its existing product roadmap have been announced. The deal is subject to standard regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the coming months.
